Our projects are primarily residential, and branch out from interior architecture to exterior landscaping. Our designs have included swimming pools, patios, decks, gazebos and courtyards. We service a wide variety of residential spaces including condos, villas, cottages, apartments and chalets.
An essential part of our design process is light. We make it a prerequisite to integrate as much natural light as possible into a space. Light is what allows the brain to comprehend what is visually presented to it. We draw, think and design based on light; it's accessibility, presence and potential incorporation in reference to a given space. This allows us to offer our clients aesthetic, comfortable and ergonomic solutions.
To start and end the day in an environment that is relaxing and inviting is essential in any home. For that reason our second essential element in our designs is the facet of nature, bringing the feeling of the outside, in. This is achieved in a number of ways, two of which are: choice of natural materials, and second is the the theory of tectonics-building of structures from the earth's core.
With 'beauty achieved by simplicity' as our theme, JD Design works to transform thought into matter by making sure that we make the process is a journey.
